Office Church

Office Church vs Aplos

Aplos isn't quite the same product as Office Church. Its strength is nonprofit fund accounting: general ledger, auditable reports and Form 990 preparation. Office Church is church management with giving included, at a fraction of the price.

Manage members, finances, visitors, events, online giving, small groups and inventory from one cloud platform.

Price

Aplos runs from $79 a month (Lite) to $189 (Advanced). Office Church runs from $19.90 to $59.90.

What each one is for

Aplos is built for formal fund accounting and is usually driven by a treasurer or accountant. Office Church is what the pastoral team uses to run the church week to week: members, visitors, giving, events, groups and reports.

Online giving

Aplos charges 2.9% + 30¢ on cards and 1% + 30¢ on ACH, on top of the software. With Office Church the Stripe account belongs to your church and we charge no platform fee.

When Aplos is the better fit

If your church needs double-entry books, an auditable balance sheet or Form 990 prep, Aplos is built for that and we don't replace it. Some churches run Office Church day to day and keep an accountant for the formal books.
